The Ministry released data on gross and net external debt stock, Treasury-guaranteed external debt stock, public net debt stock, and the European Union (EU)-defined general government debt stock as of December 31, 2023.
Accordingly, while Turkey's gross external debt stock stood at 499.9 billion dollars, the ratio of the stock to the national income was 44.7 percent.
RATIO TO NATIONAL INCOME IS 23.4 PERCENT
On the same date, the net external debt stock was recorded at 261.4 billion dollars. The ratio of the stock to the national income was 23.4 percent.
The Treasury-guaranteed external debt stock was calculated at 16.1 billion dollars. The public net debt stock was recorded at 5 trillion 560 billion liras during this period. The ratio of the stock to the national income was 21.2 percent.
The EU-defined general government debt stock was recorded at 7 trillion 751 billion liras, and the ratio of this amount to the national income was 29.5 percent.
