How much will rents increase in June? New maximum rent hike rate announced
Following the announcement of May inflation data, the maximum rent increase rate for June has been set at 45.80 percent.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has shared the inflation data for May with the public. With the data released, the upper limit for rent increases based on the annual inflation average has become clear. Accordingly, the maximum rent increase rate for residential and commercial properties in June has been determined as 45.80 percent.
Until July 2024, a 25 percent rent increase cap had been applied to residential rents for two years. With the expiration of this regulation, rent increases have begun to be calculated again based on the 12-month CPI average.

Sample residential rent: 30,000 TL
Rent increase rate: 45.80 percent
June 2025 rent increase amount: 13,740 TL
