Important warning to investors from Borsa Istanbul: Watch out for tomorrow!
Investors at Borsa Istanbul who wish to convert their shares into cash before the Eid al-Adha holiday must complete their transactions tomorrow due to the holiday.
Due to the Eid al-Adha holiday, the settlement dates for transactions at Borsa Istanbul will change. Accordingly, the settlement of transactions made on Thursday at Borsa Istanbul will be carried out on Thursday, June 20. Stock market investors who want to convert to cash before the Eid al-Adha holiday need to complete their transactions tomorrow.
Since the settlement of transactions in Borsa Istanbul Equity Markets operates on a "T+2" basis, meaning two business days after the day the transaction takes place, the collection and payment for a stock transaction carried out tomorrow will be made on Friday.
For investors who trade on Thursday, the collection and payments will be delayed by 7 days, until Thursday, June 20. Investors who trade this Friday will also have to wait until Friday, June 21, for the cash realization of those transactions.
