In December 2023, 'vegetables' saw the highest price increase, while 'air passenger transport' saw the largest decrease

According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), last month's price increase in vegetables (excluding potatoes and some tuber vegetables) was followed by pharmaceuticals at 14.47 percent and lamb meat at 14.38 percent.

Other products with the highest price increases in December included eggs and egg-related products at 10.93 percent, refrigerators, freezers, and fridge-freezers at 7.94 percent, and other solid and liquid fats at 6.44 percent.

Last month, the largest price decrease was seen in air passenger transport at 15.97 percent. This was followed by intercity road passenger transport at 4.38 percent, children's clothing at 4.29 percent, fuels and lubricants for personal transport vehicles at 2.2 percent, and fresh fruits at 2.09 percent.
