Index contract on VIOP starts the new week with a decline after the holiday break
The April-dated contract based on the BIST 30 index on the Borsa Istanbul Derivatives Market (VIOP) started the week with a 0.7 percent decline at 10,674.50 points.
The April-dated index contract on the Borsa Istanbul Derivatives Market (VIOP) traded at 10,674.50, which is 0.7 percent below the previous normal session close, during the opening session.
On Tuesday, the index contract followed a buying trend and completed the normal session at 10,752.25 points, 0.5 percent above its previous close, while no evening session took place.
Analysts stated that global equity markets started the week with a positive trend as expectations strengthened that the rising tension in the Middle East, following Iran's attacks on Israel over the weekend, would come to an end, adding that a busy data agenda has become the focus of investors this week.
