The April-dated index contract on the Borsa Istanbul Derivatives Market (VIOP) traded at 10,176.50 in the opening session, 0.3 percent below the previous normal session close.
Yesterday, the index contract followed a bullish trend and completed the normal session at 10,211.25 points, 2.3 percent above its previous close. The index contract fell to 10,169.75 points in the evening session.
Analysts stated that global equity markets have been following a negative trend following guidance from US Federal Reserve (Fed) officials suggesting that the bank may make fewer interest rate cuts than expected, and noted that all eyes are now on the employment report data to be released in the US today.
