Inflation rate in Turkey exceeds the combined total of three countries in war and crisis
The latest data shared by strategist and technical analysis expert Tunç Şatıroğlu has brought a striking comparison regarding the reality of inflation in Turkey to the agenda. According to the table highlighted by Şatıroğlu, the sum of the inflation rates of three countries currently in war and deep crisis remains behind Turkey's official inflation rate.
While the Medium-Term Program (OVP) implemented as part of the fight against inflation in the Turkish economy continues, international comparisons reveal the severity of the situation once again.
According to data shared by renowned strategist and technical analysis expert Tunç Şatıroğlu, the total inflation rate of three countries experiencing active war or severe economic collapse cannot keep up with the rate announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK).
THE SITUATION IN COUNTRIES IN WAR AND CRISIS
The list shared by Şatıroğlu includes Lebanon, which has been struggling with crises for a long time, Ukraine, which is at the center of a devastating war, and Russia, which is facing heavy sanctions.
The stated inflation rates of these three countries are listed as follows:
Lebanon: 17.3%
Ukraine: 7.7%
Russia: 6.0%
When the inflation rates of these three countries are added together, the resulting figure remains at the 31.0% level.
TURKEY, IMPLEMENTING THE OVP, SURPASSES THREE COUNTRIES
On the other hand, according to official data announced by TÜİK, Turkey's inflation rate is at the 31.75% level.
This statistic shows that the inflation rate of Turkey, which has a Medium-Term Program (OVP) aimed at making the economy predictable and ensuring price stability, is higher on its own than the total of three countries where bullets are flying at their borders, infrastructure is damaged, and they are in the midst of an international crisis.
