Interest in the stock market is growing: Number of equity investors nears 10 million

The Central Securities Depository (MKK) reported that the number of equity investors has increased for the second consecutive week following the start of new initial public offerings (IPOs), once again approaching the 8 million threshold.

LARGE INCREASE IN TWO WEEKS

According to the investor and account figures announced by the MKK, the number of equity investors increased by 245,272 in the week ending February 23 compared to the previous week. The number of equity investors rose from 7 million 728 thousand 937 to 7 million 974 thousand 209.

Thus, the increase over the last two weeks has reached 773 thousand 773.

During the same week, the value of equity stocks rose from 12.35 trillion TL to 12.51 trillion TL.
