COST OF LIVING INCREASED BY 78.48 PERCENT
According to the statement made by the Istanbul Planning Agency, the cost of living in Istanbul increased by 3.35 percent compared to the previous month and by 72.10 percent compared to December of the previous year.
Compared to November of the previous year, the 12-month increase in the cost of living in Istanbul was 78.48 percent.
In November, the average cost of living for a family of four in Istanbul was calculated at 47,493 liras. The average cost of living in Istanbul increased by 1,537 liras compared to the previous month.
TÜRK-İŞ HAD ANNOUNCED THE POVERTY LINE
Most recently, Türk-İş announced the hunger threshold (monthly food expenditure for a family of four) as 14,025 TL and the poverty line (all basic expenditures) as 45,686 TL.
