Istanbul's March inflation figures announced! Prices rose in March

The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce has shared Istanbul's inflation data for March 2025. According to the released data, monthly inflation, which was determined to be 3.19% in February, rose to 3.79% in March. Furthermore, the annual inflation rate, which was 45.35% in February, was determined to be 46.23% in March.

The statement included the following:

'The Wholesale Price Index, which reflects wholesale prices, showed an increase of 2.33% in February 2025, while this increase was recorded as 2.30% in March 2025. In March 2025, the rate of change compared to the same month of the previous year was 33.17%, while the annual average rate of change was determined to be 46.12%.

In March 2025, the following changes were observed in wholesale prices compared to the previous month: There was an increase of 4.83% in the Chemicals group, 3.64% in the Foodstuffs group, 1.64% in the Construction Materials group, 1.59% in the Metals group, and 1.39% in the Fuel and Energy Materials group, while a decrease of 0.67% was seen in the Raw Materials group, and there was no price change in the Textiles group.

On an annual average basis, the highest increase by group in March 2025 was recorded in the Construction Materials group at 92.81%, followed by Textiles at 71.96%, Chemicals at 47.09%, Foodstuffs at 43.70%, Fuel and Energy at 36.08%, Raw Materials at 34.44%, and the Metals group at 30.02%.'

WHEN WILL TURKSTAT ANNOUNCE MARCH INFLATION?

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) will announce the March inflation data on Thursday, April 3. TÜİK had announced February inflation as 2.27% and annual inflation as 39.05%.
