It had over 400 branches: Famous dessert chain files for concordat due to financial bottleneck
Ekleristan, a dessert giant with over 400 branches across Turkey, has filed for a concordat due to financial difficulties. The Bursa 1st Commercial Court of First Instance has granted the company a 3-month temporary grace period.
Founded in 2020 and having established a wide branch network in 61 provinces of Turkey in a short time, Ekleristan has faced economic difficulties. The Bursa-based company is known for its products such as eclairs, macarons, milk-based desserts, cakes, and ice cream. However, due to the financial difficulties it has experienced recently, it filed a concordat request with the Bursa 1st Commercial Court of First Instance.
COURT DECISION AND DETAILS
The court evaluated Ekleristan's application and granted the company a temporary grace period of 3 months. During this period, Nesrin Beşe was appointed as the concordat commissioner to examine the company's financial situation. The court will make its final decision after this examination.

In the statement made by the court, it was stated, "In accordance with this preliminary report, a three (3) month temporary grace period has been granted to the defendant-debtors. The transfer of all movable and immovable property registered in the name of the defendant-debtors to third parties is prohibited until a second decision is made. The debtor cannot establish liens, act as a guarantor, transfer immovable property or the permanent equipment of the business even partially, encumber them, or make gratuitous disposals from the date of the grace period decision without the court's permission."
Furthermore, it was stated that the temporary grace period would have the same consequences as a final grace period, and it was decided to suspend all kinds of enforcement proceedings in accordance with the relevant articles of the Enforcement and Bankruptcy Law (İİK). No new enforcement and bankruptcy proceedings can be initiated as of December 8, 2025. However, privileged claims and claims secured by liens will not be affected by these measures.
Those who claim to be creditors may object within seven days from the date of publication of this announcement and present evidence that there is no situation requiring the granting of a concordat grace period. In the event that the temporary grace period is extended or significant reasons arise before the expiration of the period, a hearing date will not be set.
