İYİ Party's Yılmaz claims closed-door meetings are being held in London

Bilge Yılmaz, the İYİ Party's Deputy Chairman responsible for the economy, shared information he received regarding the Central Bank in a post on his social media account.

In a post on the social media platform X, Yılmaz stated that high-level figures from the Central Bank are traveling to London to hold closed-door meetings with clients of a foreign bank, and made the following assessment:

"It appears that the recent panic in the markets has also alarmed Central Bank officials.

I have learned that high-level figures from the Central Bank are traveling to London to hold closed-door meetings with clients of a foreign bank. This is incompatible with the seriousness of the Central Bank and the state. These moves, made to produce short-term solutions to existing problems, further damage the perception of Turkey among foreign investors.

I recommend that Central Bank officials instead urgently do the right thing in a transparent manner.

As I have always said, governing a state and holding high-level public office requires seriousness and responsibility.

Unfortunately, we are very far from that."
