Koç Holding announced last September that the Arçelik factory in Poland would be closed. In line with this decision, which was taken due to efficiency issues, the liquidation process is nearing its end. It was reported that the factory will be completely closed by March and approximately 1,800 employees will be laid off.

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT MADE TO KAP

Koç Holding failed to achieve the targeted performance in its European investments at the Arçelik factory in Poland. In the statement made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), it was stated that the decision to close the factory was made due to low efficiency.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE EMPLOYEES' RIGHTS?

It was stated that the employment contracts of the 1,800 employees working at the factory, which will cease operations in March, will be terminated with their severance and notice pay paid in full. It was emphasized that the liquidation process is proceeding as planned.
