Konda announces July household inflation expectations

Koç University, in collaboration with Konda, has published the results of the July household inflation expectation survey. According to the results, as of July 2024, the annual inflation expectation remained unchanged from the previous month at 113 percent.

Konda announces July household inflation expectations

Konda Research has published the July results of the "Turkey Household Inflation Expectation Survey," conducted with Prof. Dr. Selma Demiralp and her team from Koç University.

According to the report's findings, there was no increase in the annual inflation expectation as of July 2024 compared to the previous month. (The annual inflation expectation for both July and June was 113 percent.)

Furthermore, the year-end inflation expectation also remained the same as in June, at 93 percent.

Meanwhile, the inflation expectation for the 12-month period until July 2025 rose to 100 percent this month, up from 97 percent in June.

When asked, "By what percentage do you think prices have increased on average from July 2023 to this July?", participants gave an average answer of "113 percent." In response to the question, "By what percentage do you think prices will have increased from the beginning to the end of 2024, that is, from January to December?", the answer given was "93 percent." The answer to the question, "At what rate do you expect prices to change in the July 2024-July 2025 period?" remained at "100 percent."
