Limits changed for ATM transactions

Immediately following the draft communiqué announced by MASAK to increase transparency in EFT, money transfers, and cash transactions, prevent informality, and strengthen the security of the financial system, banks, with the involvement of the BDDK, have lowered the limits for card and cardless cash deposits at ATMs.

Those who wish to deposit money above the set limits will be able to perform transactions at branches upon declaration.

Many banks have announced that they have lowered the limits for card and cardless cash deposits at ATMs in line with the opinions of their internal audit units and Compliance Departments.

According to a report by ekonomim.com, the daily card-based cash deposit limit, which was previously 250 thousand, is now being implemented as 180 thousand TL. Customers will now be able to deposit a maximum of this amount in TL or its foreign currency equivalent via ATMs using their debit cards.
