Major increase in Netflix subscriber count

Netflix has announced its financial results for the third quarter of this year.

Accordingly, the company's revenue in the third quarter of the year increased by 7.8 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 8.54 billion dollars. The firm's revenue was recorded at 7.9 billion dollars in the same period last year.

The company's net profit also increased by 20 percent in the third quarter compared to the same period last year, reaching 1.68 billion dollars. Netflix's net profit in the third quarter of last year was 1.4 billion dollars.

The firm's earnings per share also rose from 3.10 dollars to 3.73 dollars in the same period.

Netflix's subscriber count increased by 8.8 million in the third quarter of the year. The company's global subscriber count reached 247.2 million, an annual increase of 10.8 percent.

On the other hand, it was reported in a statement from Netflix that price increases were implemented for some membership plans in the US, UK, and France.

Accordingly, the price of the basic plan in the US was increased from 9.99 dollars to 11.99 dollars, and the fee for the premium plan was raised from 19.99 dollars to 22.99 dollars.
