Major increase in passport fees in 2026: How much will 6-month, 1-year, 3-year, and 10-year passports cost?
According to data released by TUIK, passport fees will increase significantly in 2026. Unless the President intervenes, the fee for a 10-year passport could exceed 14,000 TL.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) has announced the October inflation data, determining the revaluation rate that will be effective for 2026. This rate, calculated based on the Domestic Producer Price Index (PPI) average, was announced as 25.49%. This rate will affect many public payments, primarily passport fees.
The revaluation rate is applied automatically every year, but the President has the authority to increase or decrease this rate by up to 50%. If AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan does not make a decision to reduce it, passport fees will increase by 25.49% in 2026. In this case, the fee for a 10-year passport could exceed 14,000 TL.
