Major sale concluded: Ülker exits, Koç steps in immediately
Tek-Art Marina, a subsidiary of Koç Holding, has announced the completion of the acquisition process for Göcek Village Port Marina, Göcek Exclusive Port Marina, and associated hotels in the region, following approval from the Competition Authority last month. According to the disclosure made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), a total of 157.7 million dollars was paid, with 78.85 million dollars each going to equal partners Yıldız Holding A.Ş. (the group to which Ülker belongs) and Sağlam İnşaat Taahhüt Ticaret A.Ş.
Tek-Art Marina has shared with the public that the acquisition of financial fixed assets, covering Göcek Village Port Marina and Göcek Exclusive Port Marina, has been finalized.
In the statement submitted by the company to the Public Disclosure Platform, it was noted that the negotiations conducted following the permission granted by the Competition Authority last month have been officially concluded.
PAYMENT DIVIDED BETWEEN TWO COMPANIES
According to the notification, half of the total 157.7 million dollar price was paid to Yıldız Holding, which owns the Ülker brand, and the other half was paid to the equal partner, Sağlam İnşaat Taahhüt Ticaret A.Ş.
HOTELS ALSO TRANSFERRED TO TEK-ART
It was reported that the transfer process included not only the two marinas but also the hotels in the region. However, it was stated that the use of the hotels cannot be transferred immediately due to an existing lease agreement.
LEASE AGREEMENT TO END IN 2026
Tek-Art Marina announced that the lease agreement with the current operator of the hotels will be terminated on October 1, 2026, and that the right to use the hotel assets will pass to them after this date.
USAGE RIGHTS EXTEND UNTIL 2073
Additionally, the announcement included information that the companies MCI and RAM hold the right to use the land areas of Göcek Village Port Marina and Göcek Exclusive Port Marina until December 31, 2033, and the sea areas until April 1, 2073.
