Mehmet Şimşek's London visit

Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek will hold important meetings in London, the capital of the United Kingdom. According to information obtained by an AA correspondent from Ministry sources, Şimşek's visit to London, which begins today, will continue until May 15.

During this period, Şimşek, who will conduct a busy schedule of meetings with international investors and representatives of the financial sector, will give a presentation on the current state of the Turkish economy and the reform process.

As part of the visit, Şimşek will also attend the Turkey Conference organized by BNP Paribas, one of Europe's leading financial institutions. Here, the Minister will deliver a comprehensive presentation on the Turkish economy and will proceed to one-on-one meetings with investors following the conference. In these meetings, he is expected to provide detailed assessments regarding the Medium-Term Program (MTP), fiscal discipline targets, and investment opportunities in Turkey.

Furthermore, Şimşek's contacts in London will not be limited to the private sector. The Minister will also attend the annual meeting of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), where he will serve as vice-chair at the Board of Governors General Session.

Şimşek, who will also make a presentation at a special panel titled "Turkey Investment Outlook" organized by the EBRD, will address Turkey's investment potential from various perspectives by answering participants' questions during the Q&A session of the event.

Within the scope of the visit, it is also planned for Şimşek to hold bilateral meetings with representatives of some countries and his counterparts.
