Mehmet Şimşek makes statements following US contacts: 'We explained our country's potential'

Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek announced that during his contacts in the US, they explained the results of Turkey's economic program and how they would unlock the country's potential by making the gains of this program permanent.

Şimşek, who attended the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank in the US, stated in a post on his social media account that the intense investor interest is an indication that Turkey's economic program is progressing in the right direction.

Minister Şimşek emphasized that they held one-on-one meetings with numerous investors within the scope of the meetings, stating, "In our contacts in the US, we explained the results of our program and how we will reach Turkey's potential by making our program gains permanent. The intense interest shown in our country clearly demonstrates that our program is progressing in the right direction."
