Mehmet Şimşek makes statement on '25 percent rent increase cap'! Will it continue?
Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek stated regarding the 25 percent rent cap, "If we do nothing, the regulation will expire in July. We currently have no work underway to implement such a regulation."
Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek made statements regarding the economic agenda on NTV.
Arguing that inflation will fall permanently, Şimşek said, "But all actors need to be patient, and we are determined."
Stating that they have no work underway regarding the 25 percent rent increase cap, Şimşek said, "If we do nothing, the regulation will expire in July. We currently have no work underway to implement such a regulation."

Inflation will fall permanently, but all actors need to be patient, and we are determined. Solving price rigidity in services will take time.
Prices in automotive and real estate are falling; the decline in inflation is being felt.
All indicators point to stability in the exchange rate. There is no need to reinvent the wheel; we are doing what the world is doing.
Imports will continue to decrease. The improvement in the current account deficit is performing better than the target. Reducing dependence on foreign energy is the most critical variable. The share of energy in imports is very high. There is great interest from the world and actors in Turkey, especially in renewable energy.

We will carry out public procurement reform. We will take steps to significantly reduce exemptions. Tax justice and efficiency are an important priority for us.
