Call for 'pension' from Memur-Sen President! He gave a figure for the flat-rate raise

Following the setting of the lowest pension at 10 thousand TL, while discussions on a flat-rate raise continue, a statement has also come from Memur-Sen President Ali Yalçın.

In his speech at the "8th Memur-Sen Turkey Meeting" program held at a hotel in Kızılcahamam with the participation of Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş, Yalçın explained that as a union, they demand that more taxes be collected from those who earn more and less from those who earn less.

Touching on the importance of increasing the purchasing power of retirees, Yalçın said, "Pensions should not be below the minimum wage. For public officials, the bond that has been broken between the duty salary and the pension should be re-established, and the 8 thousand 77 lira flat-rate raise should be updated and reflected in the incomes of retirees as well."

Stating that they are fighting for the problems to end, Yalçın noted that they are working to achieve new gains and for everyone to live in a country with a high level of welfare, with good wages, in respectable work environments.
