Microsoft is back on top... It has reclaimed its throne from Apple

Microsoft has surpassed Apple for the first time since 2021 to become the world's most valuable company. According to a report by Ekonomim Gazetesi, Apple shares rose 0.2 percent yesterday, while Microsoft recorded a 1 percent increase. According to LSEG data, Microsoft's market capitalization reached its highest level at 2.887 trillion dollars. Apple's market capitalization was recorded at 2.875 trillion dollars.

APPLE LOST 3 PERCENT OF ITS VALUE IN TWO WEEKS

Due to concerns in the smartphone market and expectations of declining demand for the iPhone, Apple shares lost 3 percent of their value in the first 2 weeks of 2024.

Microsoft shares, on the other hand, rose 3 percent in the same period due to its investment in OpenAI and its moves in the field of artificial intelligence. While Apple shares rose 48 percent last year, Microsoft experienced a 57 percent increase.

Apple's first VR/AR headset, the Vision Pro, will be available for sale in the US on February 2, and it is expected to be the company's biggest product launch since the iPhone in 2007.

Microsoft last surpassed Apple in 2021. At that time, Apple was struggling with supply chain issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
