Million-euro aid from Mercedes to Israel

Recent events between Palestine and Israel have been occupying the global agenda significantly. At this point, aid continues to arrive in both countries from all over the world. Mercedes has recently joined these efforts. Mercedes-Benz CEO Ola Källenius announced in a post on his LinkedIn account that the company has provided financial aid to Israel.

MERCEDES-BENZ HAS PROVIDED FINANCIAL AID TO ISRAEL

In his statement on LinkedIn, Ola Källenius expressed his concern over the events and announced that they have provided a total of 1 million euros in financial aid to organizations in Israel called United Hatzalah and the German Red Cross.

The executive also stated that they are in constant contact with their team at the company's R&D facility in Tel Aviv and that their safety is their top priority.

The statement made by Ola Källenius is as follows:

"The news and images published worldwide since the terrorist attacks on Israel have deeply shaken me. And I am extremely concerned about the potential implications for peace in the Middle East. I have colleagues, long-time acquaintances, and good friends in the region. I extend my deepest sympathy to everyone who has been subjected to violence and is mourning the loss of their loved ones.

My thoughts are also with the many injured, those who have been kidnapped, and their families. In recent days, we have been in contact with various institutions and organizations because we want to contribute to alleviating the suffering on the ground, at least to some extent. Mercedes-Benz is donating a total of one million euros to the relief organization United Hatzalah for the purchase of rescue vehicles, as well as to the German Red Cross, which coordinates humanitarian aid in the region together with its sister organizations. We are, of course, in constant contact with our team at our R&D facility in Tel Aviv, and their safety is our top priority."
