Minister announces: Payments deposited into accounts today

Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that they will pay a total of 3.8 billion lira to households in need this month.

Stating that the Turkey Family Support Program has been extended until the end of this year, Göktaş noted that in addition to households benefiting from regular social assistance, they have also included households that do not receive regular social assistance because they do not have any disadvantages in the Turkey Family Support Program based solely on income criteria.

Minister Göktaş stated that with this month's payment under the Turkey Family Support Program, they have provided a total of 92.1 billion lira in support to households to date, and that they also provide regular monthly support to households within this scope, noting the following:

"We continue to stand by our households in need with the support we have implemented for them. We are depositing the Turkey Family Support Program payments into accounts as of today. In this direction, we will make a total payment of approximately 3.8 billion lira, consisting of 2.9 billion lira to approximately 3.2 million households under the Family Support Component, and approximately 900 million lira for 5.4 million children in approximately 2.2 million households under the Child Support Component."

Emphasizing that as a Ministry, they are increasing the effectiveness of social assistance programs by taking into account developing and changing life conditions, Göktaş stated, "In this context, we implement our social assistance in a holistic manner. We reach all segments of society with our supply-oriented and accessible service network, with the principle of equal and fair service, without making any discrimination among our citizens."
