Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that an increase has been made in social support payments. Accordingly, the elderly pension has been raised to 4,664 liras, the pension for individuals with a disability of 70 percent or more to 5,584 liras, the home care allowance to 10,125 liras, and the Social and Economic Support (SED) payment to 7,094 liras.
HOW MUCH ARE THE ELDERLY AND DISABILITY PENSIONS?
In her statement, Minister Göktaş noted that social service payments were updated following the new regulation on the civil servant salary coefficient. Expressing that they provide support to low-income individuals and families through social service models, Göktaş announced that the elderly pension has been increased from 4,181 liras to 4,664 liras, the pension for citizens with a disability rate between 40-69 percent from 3,338 liras to 3,723 liras, and the pension for individuals with a disability of 70 percent or more from 5,007 liras to 5,584 liras. In addition, the monthly payments made to relatives of disabled individuals under the age of 18 have been raised from 3,338 liras to 3,723 liras, and the pensions for patients with severe silicosis have been increased from 9,185 liras to 10,245 liras.
HOME CARE ALLOWANCE INCREASE
Göktaş stated that support is provided to 542 thousand citizens within the scope of the home care allowance offered to disabled individuals in need of care at home. She said that this allowance has been increased from 9,077 liras to 10,125 liras for the January-July 2025 period.
Reminding that they provided a total of 54.7 billion liras in home care assistance in 2024, Minister Göktaş emphasized that they continue their work with an approach that leaves no one behind within the framework of the Century of Turkey vision.
SED AND FOSTER FAMILY PAYMENTS
Announcing that a regulation has also been made for SED payments, Göktaş stated that the amount of economic support provided per child to families in need has been increased from an average of 6,360 liras to 7,094 liras, and that payments made per child to foster families have been raised from 10,159 liras to 11,332 liras.
Minister Göktaş emphasized that they will continue to implement fair and inclusive social service models to strengthen individuals, families, and social values. She also stated that after the new regulation, the increased social assistance payments will be transferred to the accounts of the beneficiaries starting from February.
