Minister Bolat announces: Commission decision from 3 public banks
Making statements regarding commission rates on credit and debit cards, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat said, "Now, three public banks, as our Ziraat Bank General Manager informed us, have made a decision. They have reduced the commission rate on debit cards to 2.39 percent for monthly installments. They also reduced it to 2.25 percent at gas stations. They also applied a 50 percent discount on the monthly fees for POS machines for debit cards."
Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat attended the Non-Governmental Organizations Consultation Meeting at the Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ATSO).
Speaking there, Minister Bolat made a statement regarding commission rates on credit and debit cards and announced the decision taken by 3 public banks.

Bolat stated the following:
"We held a meeting with the Banks Association on January 5. They had requests. We also made counter-requests. And we said, reduce these commission rates on debit cards, reduce the commission rate in the fuel sector. Now, three public banks, as our Ziraat Bank General Manager informed us, have made a decision. They have reduced the commission rate on debit cards to 2.39 percent for monthly installments. They also reduced it to 2.25 percent at gas stations. They also applied a 50 percent discount on the monthly fees for POS machines for debit cards. I wish this to be beneficial in this sense."
