Minister Bolat announces: Foreign trade deficit was 6.7 billion dollars in October

Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat announced the foreign trade data for October.

Accordingly, Turkey's exports rose by 7.4 percent annually to 22 billion 900 million dollars. Thus, the highest October value in history was reached. The 10-month export figure was realized as 210 billion 100 million dollars.

In his statement, Minister Bolat said, "As of October, 12-month exports increased by 0.7 percent to 254.8 billion dollars, surpassing the record figure of 254.2 billion dollars at the end of 2022."

Turkey's imports in October increased by 1.3 percent to 29.6 billion dollars. In the January-October period, imports increased by 1.2 percent to 304 billion dollars.

The foreign trade deficit decreased by 14.9 percent in October to 6.7 billion dollars. In the January-October period of 2023, the 10-month deficit increased by 3.2 percent to 93.9 billion dollars.
