Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş announced that Home Care Assistance payments, totaling 7.8 billion lira for fully dependent citizens cared for at home and their families, have begun to be deposited into the accounts of beneficiaries this month.
In her written statement, Göktaş noted that Home Care Assistance has been an important care service implemented since 2006 with the aim of supporting disabled individuals primarily within a family environment.
Minister Göktaş stated, "We prioritize ensuring that our disabled citizens receive home care services while preserving their family integrity. With this assistance, we support the protection and strengthening of family unity by allowing disabled individuals to live with their families or relatives without leaving their living environment."
Reporting that a monthly payment of 15 thousand 755 lira is made per beneficiary under the Home Care Assistance program, Göktaş noted that 492 thousand citizens are currently benefiting from the support.
