Minister Şimşek meets with his US counterpart Yellen
Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek met with US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen. According to the statement, Yellen praised Turkey's commitment to strong and predictable economic policies, noting that these policies have led to a significant improvement in the Turkish economy and helped inflation enter a downward trend.
In a statement released by the US Department of the Treasury, it was noted that Yellen met with Şimşek and Karahan on the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Annual Meetings.
