Minister Şimşek: 'Turkey's CDS is at its lowest level in the last 4 years'
Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek announced that Turkey's CDS (Credit Default Swap), which indicates the country's risk premium, is at its lowest level in the last 4 years.
Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek shared information about Turkey's credit risk premium on his X account.
Stating that the CDS, which indicates Turkey's risk premium, is at its lowest level in the last 4 years, Şimşek said, "While the improvement in the risk premium in emerging countries has averaged 50 basis points over the last year, it has exceeded 400 basis points in our country.
The falling risk premium, thanks to the correct policies we have implemented, reduces the external borrowing costs for both the public and private sectors while also facilitating access to external financing," he stated.
