Ministry of Treasury and Finance announces: Budget deficit continues to rise!
According to the central government budget data for April from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, the central government budget balance posted a deficit of 177.8 billion TL in April. The deficit for the first four months of the year reached 691.3 billion TL.
Turkey's central government budget revenues in April were 595 billion 813 million liras, while expenditures were 773 billion 643 million liras.
The Ministry of Treasury and Finance announced the budget implementation results for April.
Accordingly, in April, budget revenues increased by 122.3 percent compared to the same month last year, reaching 595 billion 813 million liras, while budget expenditures increased by 93.2 percent to 773 billion 643 million liras.
In the January-April period, budget revenues rose by 110.1 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 2 trillion 233 billion 11 million liras. Budget expenditures also increased by 102.3 percent in the same period, reaching 2 trillion 924 billion 323 million liras.
The central government budget posted a deficit of 177 billion 830 million liras in April, and 691 billion 312 million liras in the January-April period.
