Ministry of Treasury and Finance announces: Budget deficit reached 97 billion lira in July

In July, central government budget expenditures were 827.7 billion TL, while budget revenues were 730.9 billion TL. Non-interest budget expenditures amounted to 735.2 billion TL, and the non-interest deficit was 4.2 billion TL.
July budget expenditures increased by 81.6 percent compared to the same month last year. The realization rate of expenditures against budget appropriations was 7.5 percent in 2024, compared to 8.2 percent in 2023.
In July, tax revenues were 611 billion 741 million TL, and general budget non-tax revenues were 98 billion 898 million TL. Tax revenue collection in July increased by 35.8 percent compared to the same month last year, reaching 611 billion 741 million TL. The realization rate of tax revenues against budget estimates was 8.3 percent in 2024, compared to 10.5 percent in 2023.
In the January-July period, central government budget expenditures were 5 trillion 406.3 billion TL, budget revenues were 4 trillion 562.3 billion TL, and the budget deficit was 844 billion TL. Non-interest budget expenditures were 4 trillion 739.3 billion TL, and the non-interest deficit was 177 billion TL.
Tax revenue collection for the January-July period increased by 86.4 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching 3 trillion 825 billion 106 million TL.
