New cooperation from the Central Bank: Hakan Kara comments

A memorandum of understanding has been signed between the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey and the Central Bank of Brazil to establish a foundation for developing cooperation on central banking issues.

According to the statement made by the CBRT, the agreement was signed by CBRT Governor Fatih Karahan and Central Bank of Brazil Governor Roberto Campos Neto in Washington, United States. 

Within the scope of the agreement, it is planned to strengthen cooperation between the two countries' central banks and to conduct technical studies within an institutional framework in the field of central banking.

Former Chief Economist Hakan Kara shared the following post on his X account regarding the signed memorandum:

"I am pleased that a technical cooperation agreement has been made with Brazil. We have a lot to learn from the central banks of Latin American countries"
