A new era begins at ATMs: Cash withdrawal and deposit limits increased
Banks have reorganized cash deposit and withdrawal limits at ATMs. While daily deposits of up to 185,000 TL can now be made using cards or QR codes, withdrawal limits have been raised to up to 50,000 TL depending on the ATM's location.
Users have long been experiencing difficulties due to ATMs only accepting 200 TL banknotes and low transaction limits. This restriction was causing major problems, especially for high-amount cash deposits and withdrawals.
DEPOSIT LIMIT RAISED TO 185,000 TL
Banks have taken an important step to meet customer demands. According to Haberler.com, the new regulation introduces the ability to deposit up to 185,000 TL daily using a card or QR code. This provides a faster and more practical solution for those who need to perform high-amount transactions.
WITHDRAWAL LIMITS BASED ON LOCATION
A notable update has also been made to cash withdrawal limits. Different limits will be applied depending on the location of the ATM. While 10,000 to 15,000 TL can be withdrawn daily from independent ATMs in busy areas such as shopping malls, streets, and subways, this figure can reach up to 35,000 to 50,000 TL at in-branch ATMs. With this practice, banks aim to provide location-based flexibility.
PRIVATE BANKS STARTED IN SEPTEMBER
The new system was implemented by many private banks in Turkey as of September. Thus, a more comprehensive and user-friendly ATM experience that meets customer needs has begun to be offered.
