New era for ATMs to begin in 2025! Those banknotes will no longer be available

As the Turkish Lira continues to lose value due to high inflation and record-breaking foreign exchange rates, banks have begun loading only 100 and 200 TL banknotes into ATMs.

Regarding the matter, former Ziraat Bank Deputy General Manager and Başkent University faculty member Prof. Dr. Şenol Babuşcu made a noteworthy post on his social media account.

Babuşcu announced that a new era for ATMs will begin in 2025.

'THEY WILL ONLY LOAD 200 TL BANKNOTES INTO ATMS'

Babuşcu used the following expressions in his post:

"Banks are now only putting 200 and 100 TL banknotes into ATMs. After the 5, 10, and 20 TL banknotes, they have also stopped putting in 50 TL banknotes. Starting from the beginning of 2025, they will only load 200 TL banknotes."

Bankalar ATM'lere artık sadece 200 ve 100 TL banknot koyuyor. 5, 10, 20 TL banknottan sonra 50 TL banknot da koymamaya başladı.

2025 yılı başından itibaren sadece 200 TL banknot yerleştirecekler.
