New fuel price hike on the horizon: Prices to rise on January 27
Fluctuations in oil markets will once again be reflected in fuel prices as a price hike. Following the recent increase in diesel, a rise in gasoline prices is now expected.
The upward trend in fuel prices continues to put pressure on drivers. According to information provided by industry sources, gasoline prices are now facing a new hike following the consecutive increases observed in diesel prices in recent weeks.
With the price of a barrel of Brent crude oil reaching the 65-dollar level from 60 dollars in a short period, a price hike for fuel products has come to the agenda. Industry officials anticipate a 1 lira 11 kuruş increase per liter of gasoline, effective from Tuesday, January 27.
This will mark the fifth fuel price hike in the last 10 days. During this period, diesel prices in particular have risen by approximately 5 lira due to consecutive hikes. Following the latest increase in diesel on January 23, a hike in gasoline is now expected.
Before the hike, the liter prices of gasoline in major cities are as follows:
- Istanbul European Side: 54.10 TL
- Ankara: 55.00 TL
- Izmir: 55.27 TL
It is stated that changes in fuel prices may continue in the coming period depending on fluctuations in exchange rates and international oil prices. Experts point out that new price increases may be encountered in the coming days.
