New layoffs on the horizon: The crisis at Tarım Kredi Markets continues
Following reports that 1,200 market employees were previously laid off, it is now alleged that 100 managers will be dismissed at Tarım Kredi Markets due to the economic crisis.
Tarım Kredi Markets, a subsidiary of the Agricultural Credit Cooperatives (Tarım Kredi Kooperatifleri), has entered a significant layoff process due to economic difficulties. Following the previous termination of approximately 1,200 market employees, regional managers are now being targeted.
According to Sözcü, it has been reported that the employment of 92 out of 129 regional managers across Turkey will be terminated as of September 1. In a letter sent by the company to the managers, it was stated that the regional manager unit is being closed due to economic reasons and that operations will continue with only 37 managers.
High financing costs and product losses are among the primary factors increasing the company's losses. It is noteworthy that management has chosen to reduce the number of personnel as a solution to these problems. These developments are considered a continuation of the crises occurring within the subsidiaries of the Agricultural Credit Cooperatives.
