Novak announces: Diesel shipments from Russia and the US to global markets have begun

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak announced that Russia and the US will supply diesel fuel to global markets and that the first shipments have already begun.

Speaking to reporters during the Russian Energy Week held in Moscow, Novak noted that this arrangement offers Russia the opportunity to increase oil production and refinery volumes.

In his statement, Novak said, "Russia and the US will supply diesel fuel to global markets; the first shipments have begun."

MESSAGE OF IMPROVEMENT IN REFINERIES

Touching upon the situation of refineries in Russia, Novak reported that some facilities have resumed operations following maintenance and repair processes. Stating that the situation at the refineries has improved significantly in recent weeks, Novak added that discussions are ongoing with the regions, the Russian Ministry of Energy, and relevant federal agencies.

Novak said, "Some of our refineries have resumed operations after repairs. Today, the situation is significantly better compared to a month or even two weeks ago."

Emphasizing that measures to protect energy infrastructure have been increased, Novak pointed out that attacks on infrastructure could affect the course of the process. He stated that Russian energy companies are developing new technologies to strengthen facility security and that some companies have already begun using these systems.

Novak also expressed that Russia aims to increase oil production in line with its existing infrastructure and refinery capacities, and that it will strive to fulfill its production obligations within the scope of OPEC+ to the extent of its capabilities.
