Oil move from Iraq to Turkey: Pipeline to open at the end of the month
Iraq has decided to open a long-unused oil pipeline for Turkey's use as an alternative to the Kirkuk-Ceyhan pipeline, which has been closed for some time. Iraq's Deputy Oil Minister Basim Mohammed stated that repair work on the pipeline in question is ongoing.
Iraq's Deputy Oil Minister Basim Mohammed announced that Baghdad is repairing a pipeline that will allow it to send 350,000 barrels per day (bpd) of oil to Turkey by the end of the month. The newly opened line will create a new route as a competitor to the Kirkuk-Ceyhan pipeline, which has been closed for some time.
It was reported that the flow from the pipeline in question was halted in 2014 following ISIS attacks and that it had been damaged.

Iraq's Deputy Oil Minister Basim Mohammed, in a statement to Reuters regarding the pipeline, said, "Repair work is ongoing, and a major crude oil pumping station along with storage facilities has been completed. The pipeline will likely be operational and ready to resume flows by the end of this month."
