Özgür Demirtaş's 2017 prediction came true: 'The system has burst'

Economist Özgür Demirtaş, who draws attention with his economic assessments that have pointed to the present day from years ago, has now brought to the agenda that a prediction he made in 2017 regarding the Chinese economy has come true, through a social media post.

Stating that growth in the Chinese economy was a bubble and that the system would collapse after a while, Demirtaş also noted in his post that he was criticized by trolls during the years he put forward these claims.

Comparing the past and the present, Demirtaş asked, 'What happened?' in the post where he also recalled his old comments.

Here is that post by economist Demirtaş:

What happened?

Please read until the end

Years ago:

That the Chinese economy was a bubble,

I wrote and said many times that the Chinese real estate system would collapse,

that the centralized economic management would implode,

I wrote and said it many times.

A group of Eurasianists and trolls, using the example of CHINA, were saying:

"Look, the economy can be successful even where there is no democracy or rule of law!" and were attacking me, and more importantly, the book by Prof. Dr. Daron Acemoğlu. (The trolls were praising China not because they knew anything, but because they were receiving scripts in their WhatsApp groups.)

So, here we are today:

What happened?

China's largest real estate company has gone bankrupt,

Their stock markets were shattered, 6 trillion dollars were wiped out,

The state is trying to create liquidity in a panic.

Their past growth is now just a memory...

So, what does this mean? One should not speak too boldly.
