Paid military service fee calculated
The fee for paid military service, which will be valid for the first half of 2026, has risen to 333 thousand 88 TL following the December inflation data announced by TUIK.
The fee that those wishing to perform paid military service in Turkey will pay for the first 6 months of 2026 has been clarified. The December inflation rate announced to the public by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) determined both the salary increases for retirees and civil servants, and also led to the recalculation of the paid military service fee.
In this period, where year-end inflation was announced as 30.89 percent, the increase for December was 0.89 percent. With the inflation data, the fee to be paid for military service was increased from 280 thousand 850 TL to 333 thousand 88 TL. Thus, compared to the previous period, an increase of approximately 52 thousand TL occurred in the paid military service fee.
The Ministry of National Defense is expected to officially announce the new figure to the public in the coming days. The increased fee will be in effect for those planning to perform their military service through the paid option between January and July of 2026.
