Pegasus and AJet increase TRNC flights following ship disaster
Following the sinking of a ship off the coast of Kyrenia, Pegasus and AJet have introduced additional flights and price adjustments due to increased demand from those wishing to travel to the TRNC.
Following the sinking of a ship carrying 267 people off the coast of Kyrenia, the demand from citizens wishing to travel to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has also been reflected in airline flights.
It was reported that 8 people lost their lives in the disaster, and search and rescue operations for 20 others are ongoing. Due to the intense demand from those wishing to reach their relatives or travel to the island, Pegasus Airlines has made adjustments to its TRNC flights.
According to information received from the company, Pegasus has revised its ticket prices. It was stated that additional flights to the island are also being planned if the demand continues.
AJet has also taken steps to increase capacity for TRNC flights. The airline announced that additional flights will be organized to the island from Çukurova Airport and that the number of flights may be increased depending on demand.
