Penalty enforcement lasted 6 hours: A record was broken!
A record number of fines were issued for emergency lane violations on the Düzce section of the Anatolian Motorway. In a 6-hour operation, 1,677 drivers were fined a total of 10 million 799 thousand 880 liras.
With the holiday break nearing its end, drivers returning from their hometowns have caused heavy traffic.
Drivers who entered the emergency lane to bypass the congestion were caught by Düzce Regional Traffic teams.
During the emergency lane violation inspections, which were conducted in 2-hour intervals for a total of 6 hours, 1,677 vehicles were fined 10 million 799 thousand 880 liras. Teams are continuing their intensive inspections at all intersections to reduce the use of the emergency lane.
