Pharmaceutical manufacturer Bayer to pay compensation
Pharmaceutical manufacturer Bayer will pay 1.56 billion dollars in compensation due to its weed killer Roundup.
A court has ruled that compensation must be paid regarding Bayer's weed killer Roundup. Following a lawsuit filed over allegations that the weed killer caused injuries, including cancer, the court ordered Bayer to pay 1.5 billion dollars in damages.
According to the court's rulings, Bayer was held responsible for negligence, design defects, and failing to warn plaintiffs about the potential dangers of using Roundup.
