Pozitif Bank, seized in Erkan Kork investigation, put up for sale
Pozitif Bank, owned by businessman Erkan Kork who was arrested as part of an illegal betting investigation, has been put up for sale by the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) via tender. The tender, for which the estimated value has been set at 1 billion 100 million TL, will be held on November 12.
Pozitif Bank (Bank Pozitif), which was seized as part of the illegal betting investigation in which businessman Erkan Kork, the owner of FlashHaberTV, was arrested, has been put up for sale by the TMSF.
According to the official announcement by the TMSF, the estimated value for the bank, which was established in 2002, has been set at 1 billion 100 million TL.
TENDER TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 12
In the statement regarding the sales process, it was stated that individuals and institutions wishing to participate in the tender must deposit a guarantee of 55 million TL and submit a specification fee of 100 thousand TL.
The deadline for submitting final bids was announced as November 11, 2025. Following the receipt of bids, the tender will be held on November 12, 2025, at the TMSF's Istanbul Esentepe building.
INVESTIGATION CONTINUES
The sales process for Pozitif Bank is being conducted in connection with the investigation in which Erkan Kork, who is also the owner of Flash Haber TV and Payfix companies, was arrested.
The indictment prepared within the scope of the investigation was accepted by the court in recent weeks.
UP TO 26 YEARS IN PRISON SOUGHT
In the indictment, it was requested that 12 defendants, including Erkan Kork, be tried for the crimes of "establishing and managing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes, being a member of an established organization," "opposition to the Law on the Regulation of Betting and Games of Chance in Football and Other Sports Competitions," "laundering assets obtained from crime," and "opposition to the Law on Misdemeanors."
Prison sentences ranging from 13 to 26 years are being sought for the defendants, as well as judicial fines of up to 20 thousand days and monetary fines of up to 50 million TL.
