Price hike for EFT and wire transfer transactions
Fees charged for EFT and wire transfer transactions in the banking sector have been increased in line with 2025 inflation rates.
Fees for EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer) and wire transfer transactions at banks have increased with the transition to 2026. According to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the 2025 Consumer Price Index (CPI) increase rate was finalized at 30.9 percent. This rate has also become a determining factor in the pricing of banking transactions.
Fee increases have been reflected in banks' fee schedules in accordance with legal regulations. In this context, with the new tariff that has come into effect, the minimum fee to be applied to EFT and wire transfer transactions has been set at 8.37 TL.
While many banks continue to waive fees for wire transfers within their own systems, customers outside of promotional campaigns will be subject to new deductions for EFT transactions, which vary depending on the transaction amount.
Accordingly, the EFT and wire transfer fees that will be valid throughout 2026 are listed as follows:
- For transactions up to 8,300 TL: 8.37 TL
- For amounts between 8,300 and 399,000 TL: 16.76 TL
- For transactions exceeding 399,000 TL, the upper limit will be applied as 209.38 TL.
Experts state that the increased upper limit, especially for high-amount electronic money transfers, will be directly reflected in customer costs. The new fee schedule stands out as a change that closely concerns all banking customers.
