Products with the highest and lowest price changes in September announced: Here is Istanbul's price hike champion

The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) has announced the products with the highest price increases and decreases in retail prices in Istanbul in September 2025, with the aim of supporting market transparency and informing the public. According to ITO data, compared to the previous month, price increases were observed in 195 of the 336 products in the index, while decreases were recorded in 22 products.

EDUCATION FEES AT THE TOP

In September, private university tuition fees, which fall under the education expenditure group, experienced the highest price increase at 80.81 percent.

SHARP DROP IN AIRLINE TICKETS

Airline tickets, which are in the transportation expenditure group, became the product with the sharpest price decline, becoming 53.40 percent cheaper. Other notable products that experienced price drops are as follows:
