Products with the highest price increases and decreases in December announced

In December 2024, the highest price increase on a consumer price basis was seen in eggs at 12.17 percent, while the largest price decrease was observed in air passenger transport at 27.78 percent.

According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT), the price increase in eggs last month was followed by breakfast cereals at 9.88 percent and potatoes at 9.33 percent.

Other products with the highest price increases in December 2024 included fresh fish at 8.33 percent, margarine at 7.84 percent, and ovens, stoves, and oven-stoves at 7.62 percent.

The largest price decrease last month was seen in air passenger transport at 27.78 percent. This was followed by intercity road passenger transport at 5.66 percent, women's shoes and children's and baby shoes at 4.5 percent each, and men's shoes at 3.82 percent.
