QNB Finansbank's name has officially changed

QNB Finansbank has notified the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) that it has undergone a change in its title.

In the statement made by QNB Finansbank to KAP, it was stated that with the registration of the bank's extraordinary general assembly decisions dated October 1, 2024, today, its trade name has been changed to "QNB Bank Anonim Şirketi."

HISTORY OF FINANSBANK

Finansbank began its operations in 1987 with 100 partners under the leadership of Hüsnü Özyeğin.

The bank began establishing subsidiaries in foreign markets in the second half of the 1990s.

Following the economic crisis in Turkey in 1994, it decided to enter the retail banking sector in the new environment that emerged.

In 2006, the bank was acquired by Greece's largest bank, the National Bank of Greece, for 2.8 billion dollars. There was no change to the bank's brand following this acquisition.

In June 2016, it was acquired by Qatar's largest bank, Qatar National Bank S.A.Q (QNB Group), for 2.7 billion Euros. As of October 2016, the bank's new name became QNB Finansbank.

As of June 30, 2024, QNB Finansbank operates with a total of 436 branches and 12,034 employees.
